Acer negundo violaceum

Acer negundo violaceum has the most amazing flowers of all the maples in our nursery. In Spring the wispy raceme clusters of bright red stamens from the flowers hang down from the branches like ornaments on a Christmas tree.  Leaves emerge in the Spring with a purplish color - hence the name violaceum.  Orange and red colors in the Fall. Grows rapidly to 20+ feet. Hardy to -10°.
